RUTH BANDUNG
If you follow the news, you may hear about several
Indonesian citizens who are victims of human trafficking
in Thailand.
in our minsitry, we have handled four cases where our
clients were trapped by the lure of jobs and ended up
selling themselves, because they felt they were broken
and had no future. That’s why we at RUTH, and BOAS pay
attention to this.
Let’s all of us who have the same concern to remind the people around us of the dangers of
human trafficking. Let’s remind ourselves as much as possible not to be easily persuaded by
job offers that seem tempting but have no clear background
We are grateful for what God has done in our midst, that’s why we continue to improve,
improve ourselves in terms of management and organization so that we can serve more
children and women with unwanted pregnancies in the future.
Apart from helping women with unwanted pregnancies,
we also help children who have no parents or children
who have been handed over to us because their
parents were unable to care for them. We treat them
like our own children. We give them education, health
services, invite them to play, so that they get their right
as children.
Thank you to the donors who
have supported the Save Their Future program so that these
children can go to school. We are also developing a new program
for children over the age of 2 so that they can be sure to get a
proper education and from there they can have a bright future.
Thank you to the brothers and sisters from
Bandung Independent School who have
come every week, invited our children to play
and taught them to read. We are grateful for
this collaboration and hope that in the future,
there will be better cooperation.
RUTH BALI
This April, we helped a woman who worked as a domestic
worker who had an unwanted pregnancy.
During the 7th month of pregnancy this client worked and
tried to cover up her pregnancy from everyone including
her family. During pregnancy also never do pregnancy
checks. At 8 months pregnant, this client came to the
RUTH Bali to get help because he was not ready for his
environment. Thank you when you check the condition of
the baby in a healthy womb. This client has given birth, the
baby and mother are in healthy condition.
Currently RUTH Bali is fully operational and is
already accepting clients. Currently we have served
4 clients and 2 babies. Please continue to pray for
us so that we can develop ourselves to serve better
and also pray for the land that we are struggling with
so that it can be used by the RUTH Bali.
This month we also received a visit from the
Denpasar City Social Service who conducted a field verification to RUTH Bali.
On April 29 and 30 2023, BOAS Counseling Center
held a webinar The LGBTQ Webinar: A Biblical and
Scientific Review with resource person Rev. Benjamin
Swandi Utomo, M.A, CPE, M.Div, Ph.D.
He is the pastor for the multi-ethnic church Christ
Church of All Nation as well as a speaker for various
churches in Indonesia. He is also the founder of the
Biblical Counseling Plus Ministry which was formed on
September 12, 2020. He has written 3 books, one of
which is titled “Being Fellow for LGBT” with Julianto
Simajuntak which will be published in 2020.
On the first day it discusses biblical
reviews and the second day discusses
scientific reviews. During the question
and answer session, the participants were
so enthusiastic that questions had to be
accommodated to be asked again at the
session on the second day. Throughout
May 2023, the BOAS Counseling
Center will focus on LGBTQ topics as a
continuation of this webinar series. Please

You can help women with unwanted pregnancy to go through their pregnancy until give
birth to their baby through Save Their Lives program. By donating 35$/ month, you
have already helped two lives (the mother and the babies). Give note “Save Their Lives”
when you donate.
If you are burdened with helping the children we save from abortion, you can join the Save
Their Future program. This program is designed so that the children we have helped (especially
children from single mothers) can continue their education and have a good future. Only by
donating $25-$35/month/child for a year, you can help one child to have a decent life. If you
are burdened with joining this program, please contact us so that you will receive a letter of
commitment, and monthly updates about the children you are helping. And if you long to
continue to help the child, you can extend your letter of commitment.
